Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| REMOTE_AGENT_HOST | No | Default host alias to use. Overrides the 'active' field in the config file, but an explicit host= tool argument takes precedence. | |
| REMOTE_AGENT_TOKEN | No | Token used to authenticate to the remote agent. Overrides the token stored in the config file. The old environment variable PI_REMOTE_AGENT_TOKEN is also supported. | |
| REMOTE_AGENT_CONFIG | No | Path to the hosts configuration file. Overrides the --config CLI option. Defaults to ~/.config/remote-agent-mcp/hosts.json | ~/.config/remote-agent-mcp/hosts.json |
