Most tools target distinct actions: absolute vs relative fader, mute, pan, naming, sends, raw OSC. However, get_strip_status and list_strips with include_status overlap, and set_fader vs adjust_fader could still cause a wrong pick without careful reading.
The set_* prefix covers most write operations, and osc_get/osc_set and get/list/find are understandable. The main inconsistency is adjust_fader sitting alongside set_fader, which breaks the otherwise uniform verb_noun pattern.
With 11 tools the surface is neither sparse nor bloated for a digital mixer control server. Each tool addresses a real operation, and raw OSC utilities add power without multiplying specialized endpoints.
Core fader, mute, pan, naming, strip query, and bus-send flows are covered, and osc_get/osc_set fill gaps for unmapped parameters. More specialized typed tools like EQ or dynamics would be nice, but the raw escape hatch prevents dead ends.
