It can be supplied as a header (`Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY`), in the URL path (`/YOUR_API_KEY/mcp`), or via the SERPAPI_API_KEY environment variable for local/stdio installs. No key is needed to connect, list tools or read resources, but `search` and the App tools require one. |
