Tools

Functions exposed to the LLM to take actions

NameDescription
get_current_glucoseA

Latest CGM glucose reading with trend arrow and how old it is (minutes).

units: "mg/dL" or "mmol/L" (defaults to DEXCOM_UNITS, else mg/dL).

get_glucoseA

CGM readings (every ~5 min, oldest first) between start and end.

start/end: ISO 8601 timestamps; default is the last 3 hours. Dexcom Share only serves the last 24 hours, so the window is clipped to that. units: "mg/dL" or "mmol/L".

get_glucose_statsA

Summary stats for a window: mean, SD, CV, GMI, min/max, and % time in/below/above range.

start/end: ISO 8601 (default last 24 hours, the Share maximum). Target range defaults to DEXCOM_TARGET_LOW/HIGH (70-180 mg/dL). Thresholds are in mg/dL. Also reports very low (<54) and very high (>250). Percentages are by reading count.

TDQS

A4/5.0

Scored across 3 tools

Disambiguation5/5

The three tools target clearly distinct outputs: latest single reading, a range of readings, and aggregate statistics. Defaults and parameters are described well enough to avoid confusion between current and historical data.

Naming Consistency5/5

All tools use a consistent snake_case get_ prefix followed by glucose-related nouns. The pattern is predictable and readable.

Tool Count5/5

Three tools are well-scoped for a read-only CGM data server, with each tool covering a distinct retrieval need. No unnecessary tools are present.

Completeness4/5

The core read-only surface is covered: current reading, historical range, and summary statistics. Minor gaps exist around connection/account status or target-range introspection, but agents can work around them via environment defaults.
