Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| RENOR_OWNER_NAMES | No | Comma-separated list where the first name is canonical and the others are aliases (e.g., 'Ada Lovelace,Ada,Ada Byron'). | |
| EMBEDDING_PROVIDER | No | Embedding provider to use. Options include 'eval-hash' (offline), 'none' (offline), 'local' (downloads a model), or 'openai' (requires OPENAI_API_KEY). Unset selects OpenAI and exits unless OPENAI_API_KEY is set. | |
| RENOR_EVIDENCE_MODE | No | Set to 'off' to disable calling an extraction model. | |
| RENOR_CONNECTION_NAME | No | Agent name for the connection. If set to a non-empty value (not 'unnamed'), enables the five hive tools. |
