Prerequisites

Node.js: Version 18 or higher.
ripgrep: High-performance search tool required for the search_content tool.

Installation

You can run this server directly using npx:

npx http-client-mcp-server /path/to/your/repo

Available Tools

1. `search_content`

Search for keywords or regex patterns inside files.

keyword: The pattern to search for.
file_extension: (Optional) Filter by file type (e.g., ts, go).

2. `read_api_spec`

Read large files with optional line range support.

filepath: Path to the file.
startLine/endLine: (Optional) Specific lines to read.

3. `read_specific_endpoint`

Extract a specific endpoint and method from an OpenAPI spec or Markdown doc.

filepath: Spec file path.
endpointPath: e.g., /v1/users.
method: e.g., get.

4. `list_directory`

List files in a directory (ignores node_modules, .git, etc.).

5. `search_files`

Quickly find files by name.
