Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
CAMOFOX_URLNoThe URL of the CamoFox browser server that CamoFox MCP connects to.http://localhost:9377
CAMOFOX_API_KEYNoOutbound browser API key. If the browser server enforces authentication, API-key-gated operations need the same CAMOFOX_API_KEY on both the browser server and CamoFox MCP. Leave unset when the browser server runs with CAMOFOX_AUTH_MODE=disabled.
CAMOFOX_VIEWPORTNoDefault new-tab viewport size, e.g. 1366x768. Supported defaults use width 320..3840 and height 240..2160.
CAMOFOX_HTTP_HOSTNoThe host to bind when running the HTTP transport, e.g. 0.0.0.0.
CAMOFOX_TRANSPORTNoThe MCP transport mode. Use "http" to run CamoFox MCP in HTTP mode for remote MCP clients such as OpenClaw; stdio is used for desktop MCP clients.
CAMOFOX_HTTP_API_KEYNoInbound HTTP MCP API key. If HTTP transport is exposed beyond loopback, set this (use 32-plus random characters) and require clients to send it as a Bearer token.
