# apple-reminders-mcp

A tiny local [MCP](https://modelcontextprotocol.io) server that lets Claude (or any MCP client) work with **Apple Reminders and Notes** on macOS. Everything runs through built-in AppleScript (`osascript`), so nothing leaves your Mac.

I built it so Claude can turn my sales follow-ups into reminders ("call X on Friday about Y") without me copy-pasting anything.

## Tools

| Tool | What it does |

| `pridej_pripominku` | add a reminder (title, note, list, due date `YYYY-MM-DD[THH:MM]`) |
| `vypis_pripominky` | list reminders (optionally including completed ones) |
| `odskrtni_pripominku` | mark a reminder as done by its title |
| `vypis_seznamy` | list all Reminders lists |
| `pridej_poznamku` | create a note in Apple Notes (optionally in a folder) |

Tool names are in Czech; parameters are described in the schema, so the model figures them out.

## Setup

cd apple-reminders-mcp && npm install
claude mcp add apple-reminders -- node "$(pwd)/server.js"
```

On first use, macOS will ask to allow access to Reminders/Notes. Click **Allow**.

## Notes

- Dates are built field by field in AppleScript, so they don't depend on your system locale.
- Text is escaped before it goes into AppleScript.
