SeniorCare MCP

A hackathon MVP MCP server for Eigi.ai. It provides:

• medicine management

• medicine stock / refill estimation

• demo doctor search

• demo availability

• appointment management

1. Run locally

Python 3.10+ is recommended.

python -m venv .venv

Windows PowerShell:

.venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1

Install:

pip install -r requirements.txt

Run:

python server.py

The local MCP endpoint is:

http://localhost:8000/mcp

2. Test with MCP Inspector

Install/use the official MCP Inspector and connect to:

http://localhost:8000/mcp

You should see tools such as:

• add_medicine

• get_medicines

• check_medicine_stock

• search_doctors

• check_doctor_availability

• add_appointment

• get_appointments

• cancel_appointment

3. Deploy for Eigi.ai

The included render.yaml can be used to deploy as a Render web service.

After deployment, Render will give you a URL like:

https://seniorcare-mcp-xxxx.onrender.com

Your Eigi Server URL should then be:

https://seniorcare-mcp-xxxx.onrender.com/mcp

In Eigi:

• Name: SeniorCare

• Server URL: https://YOUR-RENDER-URL/mcp

• Transport: HTTP (Streamable)

• Authentication: None (hackathon/demo only)

Do NOT use the GeraClinic .well-known/mcp.json URL as the Eigi Server URL.

Important medical-safety note

This is a software demo, not a medical device. Do not use real patient data in the hackathon MVP. The server must not diagnose, change medication doses, or advise stopping medicines.

The doctor directory in this MVP is demo data. Replace it only with an authorized healthcare API/integration if you have permission.
