Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| CHINESE_NLP_STORE_KEY | No | Set to 1 to explicitly allow the license key to be stored locally (file permissions 0600 + HMAC signature). By default the plaintext key is not saved. | |
| CHINESE_NLP_LICENSE_KEY | No | Your Pro license key. When set, the key is verified against Gumroad once at startup and cached for 24 hours. Without it, the server runs fully offline on the free tier quotas. Verification can be disabled entirely by not setting this variable. | |
| CHINESE_NLP_LICENSE_DEBUG | No | Set to 1 for diagnostics; tier and cache status are printed to stderr. | |
| CHINESE_NLP_LICENSE_RESET | No | Set to 1 to clear the local license cache and credentials (self-unlock). |
