Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| WHATSAPP_STATE_DIR | No | Directory where runtime state lives. Defaults to ~/.whatsapp-channel/. | |
| WHATSAPP_DIAG_DEBUG | No | Set to 1 for Baileys' full debug stream in ~/.whatsapp-channel/diag.log. | |
| TRANSCRIPTION_PROVIDER | No | Voice transcription provider (e.g. groq or openai) used instead of the local mlx-whisper setup. The older environment variable form still works. |
