Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| OUTLOOK_CACHE_DIR | No | Directory for tokens and logs, created owner-only. Default: `~/.outlook-mcp`. | |
| OUTLOOK_CLIENT_ID | Yes | Application (client) ID from the Azure app registration. Required. | |
| OUTLOOK_PERMISSIONS | No | Which groups of mail-changing tools exist: `all`, `read`, or a comma-separated list of permission groups such as `draft,organize,attachments`. Default: `all`. | |
| OUTLOOK_DOWNLOAD_DIR | No | Directory where `save_attachment` writes files. Default: `<cache dir>/downloads`. |
