Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| JEV_BROWSER_LOG | No | Set to 1 to print per-round decisions to stderr. | |
| TYPESAFE_API_KEY | Yes | Your TypeSafe System One API key, used to call the TypeSafe API (api.typesafe.ai) for each browser decision. The MCP server reads it from its environment, or from the .env of a source checkout. | |
| JEV_BROWSER_HEADED | No | Set to 1 to show the browser window instead of running headless. Some sites (e.g. x.com) serve a blank page to headless Chromium, so headed mode is needed there. | |
| JEV_BROWSER_PROFILE | No | Directory for a persistent browser profile, so logins survive restarts. | |
| JEV_BROWSER_NO_INSTALL | No | Set to 1 to turn off the automatic Chromium download for Playwright on first use. |
