Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| MCP_DATA_DIR | No | Root folder the filesystem tools are allowed to access. Defaults to your home directory ($HOME, or %USERPROFILE% on Windows). Set it to change the allowed root from the start, e.g. `MCP_DATA_DIR=/other/path npm start`. | |
| PUBLIC_ORIGIN | No | Optional owned public origin for the ingress (used instead of Tailscale Funnel). Only needed if you use your own public origin instead of the default; see .env.example. |
