ship-it-mcp

MCP plugin for Claude that connects to GitHub — view repos, check status, commit and push, manage PRs.

Setup

1. Install dependencies:

   npm install

2. Create a GitHub Personal Access Token:

   • Go to github.com → Settings → Developer Settings → Personal Access Tokens → Fine-grained tokens

   • Give it access to your repos (read + write)

   • Copy the token

3. Create a .env file:

   GITHUB_TOKEN=your_token_here

4. Register with Claude Code (add to your MCP settings):
