Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| MCP_BASE_URL | Yes | The canonical MCP URL. For local development, set to http://localhost:8787/mail. | |
| CREDENTIAL_KEY | Yes | A secret containing a random base64-encoded 32-byte key, used for encrypting app passwords with AES-256-GCM. | |
| OPENAI_CHALLENGE | No | Optional domain verification value supplied by the OpenAI developer portal. |
