Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
FCP_MCP_INDEXNoSet to off to disable the analysis cache. Nothing depends on it; with it off every tool still answers, only slower.on
FCP_WATCH_DIRNoDirectory to watch for the operator's manual Cmd-E XML export, so watch_pull can detect and diff it against the last export. Alternatively call watch_start once per session.
FCP_MCP_AUTOPUSHNoSet to 1 to automatically push an FCPXML straight into the running Final Cut Pro with zero clicks on deliver.push_to_fcp.0
FCP_PROJECTS_DIRNoDirectory containing your Final Cut Pro projects/exports, e.g. /Users/you/Movies. Used as the default location for FCPXML files.
