Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
FCP_MCP_INDEXNoSet to `off` to disable the analysis cache. Every tool still works without it, only slower.
FCP_WATCH_DIRNoDirectory to watch for Final Cut Pro exports so the round-trip closes automatically (`watch_start` once per session, or set FCP_WATCH_DIR).
FCP_MCP_AUTOPUSHNoSet to `1` to automatically push generated FCPXML into Final Cut Pro (equivalent to calling `deliver.push_to_fcp`).
FCP_PROJECTS_DIRYesDirectory containing your Final Cut Pro XML projects. Set via `-e FCP_PROJECTS_DIR=~/Movies` or the `env` block in your MCP client config.
