tradingview-finance MCP Server

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server providing Model-usable tools to fetch real-time quotes, historical price charts, fundamental datasets, SEC filings, economic/earnings calendars, option chains, and corporate bond data from TradingView.

Features & Tools

This MCP server exposes the following tools to Claude or any other compatible MCP host:

• search_symbols(query): Search for tickers, economic indexes, or FRED data.

• get_symbol_profile(symbol): Retrieve company overview metadata.

• get_quote(symbol): Fetch real-time price quote and official logo URL.

• get_history(symbol, ...): Fetch historical daily/intraday OHLCV price bars.

• get_news(symbol, ...): Get headlines and full text articles in Markdown.

• get_options_chain(symbol, ...): Fetch strike price groupings and paired call/put contracts.

• get_bonds(symbol): Get bonds issued by a corporate entity.

• get_etfs(symbol): Find ETFs holding the specified stock symbol.

• get_holdings(symbol): Get ETF constituent weight breakdowns.

• get_documents(symbol): List SEC filings, reports, and transcript docs.

• get_ideas(symbol): Get community technical analysis and outlook ideas.

• get_financials_overview(symbol): Get segments, income statements, balance sheets, and key statistics.

• get_forecast(symbol): Retrieve analyst target prices and consensus recommendations.

• get_technicals(symbol): Get technical indicators and oscillator consensual ratings.

• get_economic_calendar(...): Retrieve macro economic calendar events.

Development & Usage

Ensure dependencies are installed using uv:

uv sync

Running Server Directly

To run the MCP server:

uv run python server.py
