Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
FCP_MCP_INDEXNoSet to off to disable the analysis cache index. Nothing depends on it; every tool still answers, only slower.
FCP_WATCH_DIRNoDirectory watched for the operator's Cmd-E XML export; set once per session instead of calling watch_start.
FCP_MCP_AUTOPUSHNoSet to 1 to push to Final Cut Pro automatically after each edit (zero-click import), instead of calling deliver.push_to_fcp explicitly.
FCP_PROJECTS_DIRYesDirectory containing your Final Cut Pro exports (e.g. ~/Movies). Point your MCP client at it so the server can find project files.
