Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| deny | No | Deny list of hosts/paths, e.g. ["mybank.example", "*.internal.example.com", "github.com/settings"]. `example.com` matches the host and its subdomains, `*bank*` is a glob over the host, and `host/path` adds a path prefix. Nothing is blocked by default. Configured in ~/.config/agent-tabs/config.json. | [] |
| allow | No | Allow list of hosts/paths using the same syntax as `deny`. A non-empty allow list turns on allow-list mode. Configured in ~/.config/agent-tabs/config.json. | [] |
| cursor | No | "auto" shows the Claude mark for clients whose MCP clientInfo.name contains "claude" and a neutral blue arrow for everything else; "claude" or "neutral" forces one for all clients. Configured in ~/.config/agent-tabs/config.json. | auto |
| window | No | Set to "dedicated" to put all agent tabs in one separate window instead of your current one. Configured in ~/.config/agent-tabs/config.json. | current |
| idleMinutes | No | Number of idle minutes after which an agent's tabs are closed. Configured in ~/.config/agent-tabs/config.json. | 60 |
| uploadRoots | No | Directories agents may upload files from. Configured in ~/.config/agent-tabs/config.json. | ["~", "/tmp"] |
| paymentGuard | No | When true, on pages with card fields, a payment provider's frame, or two of (checkout-style URL, pay button, payment-method choices), agents may read and navigate but acting needs `allowPayment: true`. Configured in ~/.config/agent-tabs/config.json. | true |
| requireMcpToken | No | When true, MCP clients must send `Authorization: Bearer <token>` (the token is in ~/.config/agent-tabs/token). Configured in ~/.config/agent-tabs/config.json. | false |
