# react-uswds-mcp

An MCP server that indexes your locally-installed `@trussworks/react-uswds` package (from the host project's `node_modules`) and exposes tools/resources that help code assistants:
- discover components
- inspect detected Props surfaces (best-effort)
- generate correct import + usage snippets
- suggest components for a UI use case

## Prerequisites
- Node.js 18+
- Yarn (recommended Yarn 4.12)

## Install
```bash
yarn install
```

## Build + run
```bash
yarn build
yarn start
```

## Dev (no build)
```bash
yarn dev
```

## Environment
- `REACT_USWDS_PACKAGE` (optional): package name to resolve. Default is `@trussworks/react-uswds`.
