Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
HOUTINI_LM_MODELNoPin the model to use, e.g. gpt-5.2. Useful when a server lists many models that all score the same in routing, so the first listed would otherwise win.
HOUTINI_LM_API_KEYNoAPI key for the endpoint, if it needs one.
HOUTINI_LM_THINKINGNoThinking mode for the delegated model: 'auto' (default, switches thinking off for models detected as supporting the toggle), 'off' (forces thinking off on every call), or 'on' (forces thinking on, at the cost of time and tokens).
HOUTINI_LM_SERIALISENoControls request serialisation. Calls are queued one at a time by default; set to 0 to turn the queue off for OpenAI, a router or a batching backend like vLLM. (OpenRouter skips the queue automatically.)
HOUTINI_LM_MIN_TOKENSNoMinimum output token floor. Anything under 4,096 is ignored by default because MCP clients habitually pass tiny caps; set to 0 to disable the floor.
HOUTINI_LM_STRUCTUREDNoSet to 1 so each inference result also carries a structuredContent block (answer, model, tokens, timing, quality flags) to read as JSON. Leave it off for Claude Code, which shows the model only that block when present.
HOUTINI_LM_ENDPOINT_URLNoURL of the OpenAI-compatible endpoint to delegate to (LM Studio, Ollama, vLLM, SGLang, a LiteLLM router, OpenRouter, OpenAI, DeepSeek, Groq, etc.). Defaults to http://localhost:1234, which is where LM Studio listens.

Instructions

Guidance the server publishes about itself, which clients place ahead of the tool catalog so the model reads it before choosing anything.

This server publishes no instructions, or was last inspected before Glama recorded them.
