Get Shared Wellness Profile

fitbit_profile_get
Read-onlyIdempotent

Retrieve the wellness profile entered during onboarding, shared across connected wellness services. Read-only access to user-provided profile information.

Instructions

Read the canonical Delx Wellness profile shared with the other wellness MCP connectors (Nourish, Cycle Coach, CGM, etc.). Read-only. Profile stores only what the user typed during onboarding — never OAuth tokens, API keys, or biomarkers.

Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already provide readOnly, idempotent, non-destructive hints. Description adds transparency by clarifying data stored (only onboarding input) and explicitly excluding OAuth tokens, API keys, biomarkers – no contradiction.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Two sentences, front-loaded with purpose, zero redundancy. Every sentence adds value.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness3/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

Adequate for a simple read-only tool with one optional parameter. Explains profile content but lacks description of return format or parameter behavior. No output schema, so description could do more.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters2/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 0% for the only parameter (response_format). Description does not mention this parameter or explain its enum values (markdown/json) beyond schema. Fails to compensate for low coverage.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

Describes reading a specific 'canonical Delx Wellness profile' shared with other wellness connectors, distinguishes from siblings like fitbit_get_profile and fitbit_profile_update by specifying scope and content.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explicitly states when to use: to read the shared wellness profile for other wellness MCP connectors (Nourish, Cycle Coach, CGM, etc.). Implies context but lacks explicit when-not-to-use or alternatives.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
