Scored across 165 tools
The tool set contains many overlapping capabilities across different providers: scoreboards, standings, team rosters, schedules, player searches, and event details appear under ESPN, SportsDB, NCAA, SportSRC, OpenLiga, footballdata, and league-specific tools. Formula 1 is especially ambiguous because F1 data is split across f1_*, openf1_*, and conceptually similar session/result tools. Provider prefixes help, but an agent must know which source to choose for a given sport and request.
Most tools follow a predictable provider_get_resource or provider_search_resource pattern, using snake_case throughout. There are minor deviations such as get versus list/search, sportsdb_get_league_list, euroleague_get_game_playbyplay versus play_by_play elsewhere, and mixed provider abbreviations. These are noticeable but do not make the naming chaotic.
165 tools is far beyond a reasonable surface for a single MCP server and exceeds the rubric's extreme-mismatch threshold. Even though the server aggregates many sports and data providers, the sheer number makes tool selection, maintenance, and agent reliability difficult.
Coverage is very broad: scores, schedules, standings, teams, rosters, players, stats, news, leagues, drafts, chess profiles, and Dota data are all represented. Some gaps remain, such as deeper cross-provider normalization and some sport-specific operations, but the surface is substantially complete for a multi-sport hub.
