Estadísticas del banco

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint=true, so the safe read profile is covered. The description adds the scope of what is counted (ideas, bisociations), which is useful, but reveals no auth requirements, freshness, or whether figures are global or per-user — relevant given openWorldHint=true.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

A single front-loaded sentence with no filler. The 'etc.' is the one vague element, but overall it is appropriately sized for a no-argument tool.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With no output schema, the description bears the burden of describing the return shape. It names only two example metrics plus 'etc.', so an agent cannot fully anticipate what keys or units come back. Adequate but leaves the response shape underspecified.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

There are zero parameters, so the baseline is 4. The description correctly implies no input is needed, and there is no schema gap to compensate for.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource (obtiene estadísticas del Banco de Ideas) and names concrete outputs (total de ideas, bisociaciones). This clearly distinguishes it from the sibling tools, which are all CRUD/search operations on ideas. The trailing 'etc.' slightly blurs the full scope.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

No indication of when to call this versus the sibling read tools (leer_ideas, buscar_ideas). The aggregate, read-only nature is implied by the name and annotations but never stated as usage guidance or with any exclusions.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
