Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

Name	Required	Description
`MOODLE_MCP_HOME`	No	Data folder, stored under hosted/. Defaults to ~/.config/moodle-mcp.
`MOODLE_MCP_HOST`	No	Listen address for hosted HTTP mode. Defaults to 127.0.0.1.
`MOODLE_MCP_PORT`	No	Listen port for hosted HTTP mode. Defaults to 3000.
`MOODLE_MCP_MASTER_KEY`	No	Required for hosted HTTP mode. 32 random bytes in base64. The server refuses to start without it.
`MOODLE_MCP_PUBLIC_URL`	No	Required for hosted HTTP mode. Public origin with no path, using HTTPS. Requests with any other Host are refused.
`MOODLE_MCP_TRUST_PROXY`	No	Number of proxies in front of the server, so rate limits see real client addresses. Without it, all users share one limit; set too high, clients can spoof their address.
`MOODLE_MCP_ALLOWED_SITES`	No	Comma-separated Moodle hostnames. Recommended for a single school.
`MOODLE_MCP_ALLOW_PRIVATE_SITES`	No	Set to 1 to turn off the private address check. For tests only.
`MOODLE_MCP_PREVIOUS_MASTER_KEY`	No	Old master key during key rotation.
`MOODLE_MCP_ALLOWED_REDIRECT_HOSTS`	No	Comma-separated HTTPS hostnames of client apps allowed to register. Recommended to reduce consent phishing.
`MOODLE_MCP_DISABLE_PASSWORD_LOGIN`	No	Set to 1 to accept security keys only, so passwords never reach the server.
