Huge overlap exists across parallel implementation stacks: file_list/finder_list/explorer_list and file_search/finder_search/explorer_search do essentially the same thing, as do list_emails/search_emails vs m365_list_emails vs outlook_list_emails vs proton_list_emails vs thunderbird_list_emails, and send_email vs m365_send_email vs outlook_send_email vs proton_send_email vs thunderbird_send_email. Similarly, run_diagnostics, lmcp_doctor, submit_diagnostics, update_local_mcp, update_self_diagnosis and lmcp_upgrade_diagnostics are near-indistinguishable without careful reading. Some prefixes (m365_, outlook_, teams_) do help, but an agent could easily pick the wrong backend.
Conventions are mixed: noun_verb forms (file_list, file_read, music_next_track), verb_noun forms (list_notes, create_note, search_messages), and platform-prefixed variants (m365_create_event, outlook_calendar_create_event, telegram_list_accounts). The same concept appears as both `get_contact` and `list_contacts`, and as `file_read` vs `read_note`, so no single predictable pattern holds across the set.
347 tools is an extreme surface, far beyond any reasonable per-server scope, and spans dozens of unrelated domains (email, music, video editing, VPN, stocks, agent mesh, skills/recipes). Each domain alone would justify its own scoped server; as a single flat set it is unmanageable for an agent to navigate.
Per-domain coverage is largely thorough: Notes, Calendar, Reminders, OmniFocus, Todoist, Excel/Word/PPT, messaging and mail stacks all have list/read/create/update/delete where applicable, plus setup/connect/disconnect tools. Minor gaps exist (e.g. no generic local file delete or move, no Apple Contacts write), but nothing likely to block a core workflow.
