Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| KILO_TREE_SITTER_WASM_DIR | No | Directory containing the tree-sitter WASM assets (e.g., tree-sitter.wasm and language grammars). Required for language-aware chunking. | |
| SEMANTIC_INDEX_CONFIG_FILE | No | Path to the JSON service configuration file. This file defines service settings, allowed roots, Qdrant connection, embedder settings, and indexing parameters. Credentials should be supplied via environment variables or secret files. | |
| SEMANTIC_INDEX_CONTROL_TOKEN | No | Direct bearer token for the lifecycle/control API. Takes precedence over SEMANTIC_INDEX_CONTROL_TOKEN_FILE. Either this or the file variable must be set. | |
