Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| UI_GEN_MODEL | No | Model name override for generate calls. Defaults to grok-4.7 on the xAI base URL. | |
| OPENAI_API_KEY | No | API key for an OpenAI-compatible chat API. Can also be used with the xAI base URL after XAI_API_KEY and GROK_API_KEY. | |
| OPENAI_BASE_URL | No | Alternative base URL for an OpenAI-compatible chat API, used when UI_GEN_BASE_URL is not set. | |
| UI_GEN_BASE_URL | No | Base URL for an OpenAI-compatible chat API. Defaults to https://api.x.ai/v1. |
