| WHATSAPP_STATE_DIR | No | Directory where runtime state lives. Defaults to ~/.whatsapp-channel/. Use separate state directories for separate numbers (only one client at a time can hold a state directory's singleton lock). | |
| WHATSAPP_DIAG_DEBUG | No | Set to 1 to enable Baileys' full debug stream. The diag.log records an 'inbound upsert' line for every batch WhatsApp delivers regardless; this enables the full debug stream. | |
| TRANSCRIPTION_PROVIDER | No | Voice transcription provider (e.g. groq or openai). Older environment variable that still works; the plugin config can also set the Voice transcription provider along with that provider's API key (keys kept in the OS keychain). |
