Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
FCP_MCP_INDEXNoSet to 'off' to disable the analysis cache. Nothing depends on it; every tool still answers, only slower.on
FCP_WATCH_DIRNoDirectory to watch for the operator's Cmd-E export, so the round trip (watch_start) can be detected. If not set, run watch_start once per session.
FCP_MCP_AUTOPUSHNoWhen set to 1, automatically push the generated FCPXML into Final Cut Pro (zero-click import) instead of requiring an explicit deliver.push_to_fcp call.false
FCP_PROJECTS_DIRYesThe directory containing your Final Cut Pro projects/exports (e.g. ~/Movies).
