Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| DATAPARITY_CONFIG | No | Path to the dataparity config file. The config file declares the sources (name, type, connection details) that the MCP tools operate on; by default it is read from ~/.dataparity/config.json, and this environment variable points at an alternative path. | ~/.dataparity/config.json |
| DATAPARITY_MYSQL_PASSWORD | No | Example of a per-source credential supplied via the environment instead of the config file. Credentials follow the pattern DATAPARITY_<SOURCE>_<FIELD> (e.g. DATAPARITY_<SOURCE>_PASSWORD, DATAPARITY_<SOURCE>_CONNECTION_STRING), where <SOURCE> is the source name declared in the config file. | |
| DATAPARITY_PROD_CONNECTION_STRING | No | Example of a per-source credential supplied via the environment instead of the config file. Credentials follow the pattern DATAPARITY_<SOURCE>_CONNECTION_STRING (for connection-string-based sources such as Postgres), where <SOURCE> is the source name declared in the config file. Credentials never have to be written to disk. |
