Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| CHROME_BIN | No | Path to the Chrome/Chromium binary to use. navigera otherwise finds Chrome or Chromium on its own (a system install, or a Playwright/Puppeteer browser cache); with none installed it picks chrome-headless-shell (or Chromium) from a Playwright or Puppeteer cache. Set $CHROME_BIN to choose explicitly. | |
| TYPESAFE_API_KEY | No | TypeSafe Jev API key. When set, the optional decision model (which element, did it work) is enabled; MCP clients then also get the browser_find and browser_check tools. | |
| NAVIGERA_DECIDER_URL | No | URL of any endpoint with the same API as TypeSafe's Jev, used by a small decision model to decide which element to act on and whether an action worked. When configured, MCP clients also get the browser_find and browser_check tools. |
Instructions
Guidance the server publishes about itself, which clients place ahead of the tool catalog so the model reads it before choosing anything.
