Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| DATA_DIR | No | Directory for the project registry (projects.json) and source dumps. Only relevant when running without Docker. | ./data |
| WEB_PORT | No | Web UI port when running the server without Docker. | 9878 |
| BIND_ADDR | No | Address on which the container publishes its ports. Set to 0.0.0.0 to expose the server to other machines (e.g. BIND_ADDR=0.0.0.0 MCP_ALLOWED_HOSTS=192.168.1.10,ariadna.lan docker compose up -d). | 127.0.0.1 |
| INDEX_DIR | No | Directory where SQLite indexes are stored separately from data/ (without it, indexes go to data/projects/{id}/index.db). In Docker this is the ariadna-index volume (in the container: /index/{project}/index.db). | ./index |
| LISTEN_ADDR | No | Address the servers listen on when running without Docker (they listen only on 127.0.0.1 by default). | 127.0.0.1 |
| MCP_HTTP_PORT | No | MCP streamable HTTP port when running the server without Docker. | 9879 |
| WEB_HOST_PORT | No | Host port published for the Web UI (container port 9878). Example: WEB_HOST_PORT=33001. | 19878 |
| MCP_ALLOWED_HOSTS | No | Comma-separated list of names and addresses under which the server is accessed (host = any port, host:port = only that port). MCP and Web UI reject requests with any other Host header (DNS rebinding protection). Without it only 127.0.0.1, localhost and [::1] are allowed. Example: MCP_ALLOWED_HOSTS=192.168.1.10,ariadna.lan. | |
| MCP_HTTP_HOST_PORT | No | Host port published for the MCP streamable HTTP endpoint (container port 9879). Example: MCP_HTTP_HOST_PORT=33002. | 19879 |
