Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| STATA_EDITION | No | Stata edition (mp, se, or be). Default is mp. | mp |
| STATA_ALLOW_UNC | No | Set to '1' to allow UNC network paths. Default is to reject. | 0 |
| JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS | No | Java options. If unset, the server automatically appends '-Djava.awt.headless=true'. If explicitly set, the existing value is preserved. | -Djava.awt.headless=true |
| STATA_ALLOWED_ROOTS | No | Semicolon-separated whitelist of allowed absolute paths for tool path parameters (e.g., 'C:/data;D:/projects'). If unset, no restriction is applied. |
