Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| GROQ_API_KEY | No | Optional provider API key; add keys for providers to unlock more models and higher limits. The proxy can start without credentials when an enabled keyless route is available. | |
| FREELLMPOOL_MODE | No | Set to wise for conservative quota mode; can be overridden per command with --mode normal|wise. | |
| FREELLMPOOL_ROUTING | No | Routing mode, e.g. set to fast to prefer the lowest-latency provider instead of the default least-used-first. | |
| FREELLMPOOL_PROXY_KEY | No | Optional Bearer token required from clients when exposing the proxy. On loopback, any placeholder API key works unless this is configured or --api-key is passed. | |
| FREELLMPOOL_PUBLIC_BADGE | No | Set to 1 to make public badges embeddable and serve /badge.svg and /summary.svg live. |
