Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| HOPPER_LAUNCHER_PATH | No | Absolute path to the Hopper launcher when Hopper is installed elsewhere than the default (/Applications/Hopper Disassembler.app/Contents/MacOS/hopper on macOS, /opt/hopper/bin/Hopper on Linux). Explicit configuration always takes precedence over the default. | |
| REA_EVIDENCE_ROOTS_JSON | No | JSON array of absolute roots approved for filesystem evidence commands and MCP file tools, e.g. ["/absolute/path/to/evidence"]. These commands and tools are disabled until the operator approves absolute roots. | |
| REA_REFERENCE_ROOTS_JSON | No | JSON array of absolute roots approved for historical source import (e.g. ["/absolute/path/to/source"]). Required because historical source import uses a separate allowlist. | |
| REA_PROCESS_CAPTURE_ENABLED | No | Set to "true" to enable process capture. Process capture is disabled by default. | |
| REA_PROCESS_ALLOWED_ENV_JSON | No | JSON environment allowlist required when process capture is enabled. | |
| REA_PROCESS_WORKING_ROOTS_JSON | No | JSON array of approved working roots required when process capture is enabled. | |
| REA_ARTIFACT_NATIVE_MOUNT_ENABLED | No | Set to "true" to enable read-only DMG traversal on macOS (also requires native_mount_approved: true per call). | |
| REA_PROCESS_EXECUTABLE_ROOTS_JSON | No | JSON array of approved executable roots required when process capture is enabled. | |
| REA_PROCESS_ALLOW_EXTERNAL_NETWORK | No | Set to "true" to allow external networking. Required when process capture is enabled because the current PTY adapter uses host networking. |
