Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
FCP_MCP_INDEXNoControls the analysis cache. Set to "off" to disable it — nothing depends on it, and every tool still answers, only slower.
FCP_WATCH_DIRNoDirectory to watch for the operator's Cmd-E XML export, as an alternative to calling watch_start once per session.
FCP_MCP_AUTOPUSHNoSet to 1 to push changes into Final Cut Pro automatically instead of calling deliver.push_to_fcp.
FCP_PROJECTS_DIRYesDirectory that holds your Final Cut Pro project/XML files, e.g. ~/Movies. Passed to the server as -e FCP_PROJECTS_DIR=~/Movies (or in the mcpServers env block).
