Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
TP_AUTH_COOKIENoYour TrainingPeaks `Production_tpAuth` cookie value (obtained from your browser's DevTools → Application → Cookies while logged into app.trainingpeaks.com). Set this for headless servers, containers, and CI. It is checked first, before the system keyring and encrypted file, so setting it overrides any stored credential. Treat it like a password - inject it from a secrets manager, never hard-code it. Optional: on desktop setups you can instead authenticate via `tp-mcp auth --from-browser <browser>` or by pasting the cookie into `tp-mcp auth`, which store the cookie in the system keyring or an encrypted file.
