Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
ADB_PATHNoPath to the ADB binary.adb
FFMPEG_PATHNoPath to the ffmpeg binary. Required for scrcpy video stream decoding, audio recording, and audio clip capture.ffmpeg
FFPLAY_PATHNoPath to the ffplay binary (video stream viewer and audio playback). ffplay usually ships with ffmpeg.ffplay
ANDROID_SERIALNoDefault device serial, overrides auto-detection. Use when multiple devices are connected, or pass the `serial` parameter to each tool instead.
SCRCPY_SERVER_PATHNoPath to the scrcpy-server binary (auto-detected by default). Must point directly to the scrcpy-server file itself, NOT to its parent folder. Setting this is enough to resolve a complete scrcpy install (its client and version are derived from the same install).
SCRCPY_SERVER_VERSIONNoVersion of the scrcpy-server binary (auto-detected by default). Only set if version auto-detection fails — it overrides detection, so a stale value causes a version mismatch. Match it to your installed scrcpy (`scrcpy --version`).
