Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
ADB_PATHNoPath to the ADB binaryadb
FFMPEG_PATHNoPath to the ffmpeg binaryffmpeg
FFPLAY_PATHNoPath to the ffplay binary (video stream viewer and audio playback)ffplay
ANDROID_SERIALNoDefault device serial, overrides auto-detection. Use this when multiple devices are connected.
SCRCPY_SERVER_PATHNoPath to the scrcpy-server binary. Point it directly at the scrcpy-server file (not its parent folder). When set, the scrcpy client is looked for beside the server or one prefix step away at ../../bin/scrcpy; the version of that same install is used, or SCRCPY_SERVER_VERSION overrides it. Only point this at an install you trust, since reading its version runs that install's executable.
SCRCPY_SERVER_VERSIONNoVersion of the scrcpy-server binary (e.g. "4.1"). Only set this if version auto-detection fails, as it overrides detection and a stale value causes a version mismatch; match it to your installed scrcpy.
