Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
PYTHONPATHNoPath to the Resolve scripting Modules directory (e.g. /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Developer/Scripting/Modules/ on macOS, C:\\ProgramData\\Blackmagic Design\\DaVinci Resolve\\Support\\Developer\\Scripting\\Modules\\ on Windows, /opt/resolve/Developer/Scripting/Modules/ on Linux). Required for the stdio server so DaVinciResolveScript can be imported; irrelevant for the free-edition HTTP route.
RESOLVE_MCP_URLNoFree edition chat extension only: the HTTP endpoint of the running Resolve MCP server, if you changed the default port (default is http://127.0.0.1:8765/mcp).
RESOLVE_SCRIPT_APINoPath to the Resolve Developer/Scripting directory (e.g. /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Developer/Scripting on macOS, C:\\ProgramData\\Blackmagic Design\\DaVinci Resolve\\Support\\Developer\\Scripting on Windows, /opt/resolve/Developer/Scripting on Linux). Required for the stdio server; irrelevant for the free-edition HTTP route.
RESOLVE_SCRIPT_LIBNoPath to DaVinci Resolve's fusionscript library (e.g. /Applications/DaVinci Resolve/DaVinci Resolve.app/Contents/Libraries/Fusion/fusionscript.so on macOS, C:\\Program Files\\Blackmagic Design\\DaVinci Resolve\\fusionscript.dll on Windows, /opt/resolve/libs/Fusion/fusionscript.so on Linux). Required for the stdio server on DaVinci Resolve Studio; irrelevant for the free-edition HTTP route, which imports nothing from Blackmagic's scripting module.
RESOLVE_CLAUDE_MCP_HOMENoFree edition only: path to your clone of this repository, used instead of setting PROJECT at the top of resolve-scripts/MCP Server.py.
