Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

LOG_DIRNoA directory on a disk that persists across restarts and deploys, for the request log and the checkpoint log. The deployed service refuses to start without it, because a restore is checked against them.
API_HOSTNoThe host and port the API binds to, e.g. 127.0.0.1:3011.
DB_PASSWORDNoThe PostgreSQL database password. Where there are no secret files, it can be given as a value instead of as a file.
TEST_DB_PORTNoPuts the test database on another port.
CHALLENGE_KEYNoThe challenge key. Where there are no secret files, it can be given as a value instead of as a file.
PUBLIC_ORIGINNoThe public origin of the service, e.g. http://127.0.0.1:3011.
CLIENT_ADDRESS_FROMNoBehind a reverse proxy that terminates TLS, the forwarded address to trust, because every per-address limit is keyed on it.
SHUTDOWN_DEADLINE_SECONDSNoThe grace period given to whatever stops the service; should be longer than this value.
