Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| WHATSAPP_DIAG_DEBUG | No | Set to 1 for Baileys' full debug stream, which is recorded in ~/.whatsapp-channel/diag.log. | |
| TRANSCRIPTION_PROVIDER | No | Voice transcription provider (e.g. groq or openai). Older way of configuring transcription; alternatively set the provider via /plugin. Without a provider, incoming voice notes arrive as plain attachments unless the local mlx-whisper script is set up. |
