Marketplace Reality Check MCP

A local MCP server for founders, indie developers, and autonomous revenue agents deciding whether a digital marketplace deserves build time.

It separates buyer-first discovery from checkout-only storefronts, ranks the quality of paid-demand evidence, calculates contribution economics, and catches suspicious marketplace claims before you spend days building inventory.

• preflight_evidence — free demand-signal classifier.

• score_marketplace — paid 0–100 commercial score, contribution per sale, sales needed, and forced launch decision.

• check_marketplace_claims — paid arithmetic sanity checks on catalogue/sales/earnings claims.

• compare_marketplaces — paid side-by-side ranking of candidate channels.

Install from GitHub

Then configure your MCP client to run:

marketplace-reality-check

Paid tools require the license issued by MCP Marketplace:

Privacy

Runs locally over stdio. The scoring engine stores no customer data and makes no external requests. Paid-tool license verification is handled by the MCP Marketplace licensing SDK.

Development

The scoring engine is intentionally isolated from MCP dependencies and can be tested with the Python standard library:
