Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| BRAIN_TZ | No | Timezone for timestamps. Defaults to 'America/Los_Angeles'. | America/Los_Angeles |
| MCP_TOKEN | Yes | Bearer token required to access the MCP endpoint. | |
| BRAIN_REPO | Yes | The GitHub repository (owner/repo) containing your private markdown brain. | |
| SENTRY_DSN | No | Sentry DSN for error reporting. If not set, error reporting is disabled. | |
| BRAIN_BRANCH | No | Git branch to use. Defaults to 'main'. | main |
| GITHUB_TOKEN | Yes | Fine-grained personal access token with Contents Read/Write access, scoped only to the brain repository. | |
| ANTHROPIC_API_KEY | No | Anthropic API key required only for the brain_ask tool. | |
| CONNECTOR_PATH_SECRET | No | Path secret for the header-less MCP endpoint (for claude.ai and other header-less clients). Required if you want to use claude.ai or the gated pages. |
