Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
CAMOFOX_URLNoThe URL of the running camofox-browser server that this MCP server connects to (for example http://localhost:9377, or http://host.docker.internal:9377 when running in Docker).http://localhost:9377
CAMOFOX_API_KEYNoAPI key sent to the camofox-browser server when that server enforces authentication; must match the key on the browser side. Leave unset when the browser server runs with CAMOFOX_AUTH_MODE=disabled, so MCP sends no outbound browser auth headers.
CAMOFOX_VIEWPORTNoDefault viewport size for new tabs, in WIDTHxHEIGHT form (for example 1366x768). Supported widths are 320..3840 and heights are 240..2160.
CAMOFOX_HTTP_HOSTNoThe host the HTTP transport binds to (for example 0.0.0.0 to allow connections from outside the container).
CAMOFOX_TRANSPORTNoTransport mode for the MCP server. Set to "http" to run CamoFox MCP in HTTP mode for remote MCP clients such as OpenClaw (otherwise standard stdio transport is used).
CAMOFOX_HTTP_API_KEYNoAPI key required from inbound HTTP MCP clients, sent as an Authorization: Bearer token. Use 32 or more random characters. Should be set when HTTP transport is exposed beyond loopback.
