Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| TELEGRAM_BOT_TOKEN | Yes | Telegram bot token from BotFather (e.g. 123456789:AAHfiqksKZ8...), used to authenticate the bot. Written to ~/.claude/channels/telegram/.env by /telegram:configure, or set in the shell environment (shell takes precedence). | |
| OPENAI_WHISPER_MODEL | No | OpenAI transcription model used for voice messages. Defaults to whisper-1 ($0.006/min); can be switched, e.g. gpt-4o-transcribe. | |
| TELEGRAM_ROUTER_MODEL | No | Configurable router model: Haiku (fast, 200K), Sonnet (balanced, 1M), or Opus (deep, 1M). | |
