ThreatLocker MCP Server
Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| LOG_LEVEL | No | Log level (default INFO). Optional environment variable. | INFO |
| MCP_HTTP_HOST | No | Host the local server listens on (default 0.0.0.0). Optional environment variable. | 0.0.0.0 |
| MCP_HTTP_PORT | No | Port the local server listens on (default 8080). Optional environment variable. | 8080 |
| X-Threatlocker-Api-Key | Yes | ThreatLocker API key, required on every request as an HTTP header (never read from the environment). An administrator creates an API user and its API key in the ThreatLocker portal; grant it read permissions for computers, approval requests, the unified audit and organizations. A request to /mcp without the key gets HTTP 401. Example: your-api-key | |
| X-Threatlocker-Instance | No | Portal instance in the API host portalapi.{instance}.threatlocker.com, e.g. g (a portal host name is also accepted). This is the letter in your portal address, e.g. portal.g.threatlocker.com -> g. Optional; when not sent the server tries each instance once and remembers which one accepts the key. An unusable instance value gets HTTP 400. | |
| X-Threatlocker-Organization-Id | Yes | Organization the calls act on, sent as ManagedOrganizationId, required on every request as an HTTP header. Must be the GUID of the organization, e.g. 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000; use the parent organization's id to work across its child organizations (childOrganizations: true). An organization id that is not a GUID gets HTTP 400. Defaults to the key's own organization. |
